Carbon Imprints kick off 2006 with a brand new track from new label member
LabRat. "Ya Mama Be Proud" is a perfect example of his wide and varied
influences, which range from the depth of his father's blues collection to the
modern hip hop of DOOM and the Ultra Mags. Perfectly combining the sound and
elements of funk and rock with contemporary hip hop production techniques, this
is a cool slab of neck-snapping b-boy fatness. Over on the flip Steady Diggin
Workshop add an extra dose of live funk to the proceedings.
