░  Since the big band era of the '30s, the Coughlan name has been a      ░
░  driving force in Australian music. Hailing from Sydney's legendary    ░
░  Trocadero nightclub, maestro Frank Coughlan and his five brothers     ░
░  charmed the local scene with their shining brass sound.               ░

░  Now, more than half a century later, their legacy lives on in         ░
░  singer/songwriter Ryan. Trading the trombone for a guitar and the     ░
░  cabaret for a computer, the result is the disturbingly catchy "Are    ░
░  You Having a Good Day?"; Ryan's first full-length studio album.       ░

░  A blend of fine melodies and thoughtfully arranged composition, some  ░
░  of Sydney's most skilled musicians eagerly lent their talents to      ░
░  this Bondi-based collective to produce Australia's answer to the      ░
░  likes of Beck, The Eels and the late Elliot Smith.                    ░

░  In a market swamped by derivatives and imitators, "Are You Having a   ░
░  Good Day?" is a truly stand-alone work, unexpectedly capturing the    ░
░  listener with its multi-layered collage of mature tracks and          ░
░  incisive, poetic lyrics. Few independent releases achieve such sonic  ░
░  maturity.                                                             ░

░  Ryan is an accomplished live performer, having played a great many    ░
░  of Sydney's notable bars and nightclubs. It is this album, however,   ░
