'rise up with fists' is the first single to be taken from the
solo album 'rabbit fur coat' by jenny lewis from rilo kiley.
the song is a perfect example of why lewis is the complete
package - beautiful voice, smart song writing, and musically
adept. it has a soaring gospel chorus and lyrics swimming with
images of despair and redemption. the aptly titled non-album
b-side; 'paradise' is a country fuelled trembler, where lewis
uses her soft and soothing voice to create a musical utopia.
on rough trade.
