Based mainly on the different Spanish traditional rhythms
(Bulerias, Alegrias, rumba, and tango), the techniques of
flamenco, and the sonorities of the Middle East through the
Arabic lute (oud), Baggili performs with three exceptional
musicians. Kathy Adam's cello strengthens the rhythmic aspect
of the flamenco and brings sweetness to its lyrical side. The
flute of Philippe Laloy brings the sound of jazz. Osvaldo
Hernandez' percussions (cajon, darbouka, maracas, etc.) offer
a rich tonal palette and South American rhythms. The
compositions are original and often daring, lending a whole
new dimension to the flamenco guitar without diluting its
essential nature.
