       │ █   Consisting of emcees Alaska, Cryptic One,
       │ █   WindNBreeze, Vastaire, and Vordul; producer Jest
       │ █   One; and DJ Cips, the Atoms Family is a crew that
       │ █   presents a variety of styles on The Prequel.
       │ █   Billed as a "Collection of songs... collected
       │ █   solely for the purpose of providing a glimpse of
       │ █   the past to foreshadow the future," much of the
       │ █   album's material was previously released.  Still,
       │ █   to fans unfamiliar with the Atoms Fam, The Prequel
       │ █   provides an excellent opportunity to get
       │ █   acquainted with them.
       │ █   The best song for introducing new listeners to the
       │ █   Atoms Fam is undoubtedly "Atoms All-Stars."  After
       │ █   a lead-off verse from non-affiliate, Kasm, each
       │ █   rhyming member of the Fam takes the mic.  Alaska
       │ █   exhibits solid breath control and on-point
       │ █   lyricism, though his voice and mic presence leave
       │ █   a lot to be desired; Cryptic One is a stronger
       │ █   emcee in all regards; WindNBreeze is better yet;
       │ █   and Vastaire is best of all.  Though a remarkable
       │ █   emcee in his own right, Vordul's performance on
       │ █   this song is disjointed and off-beat, with obvious
       │ █   studio punch-ins marring his verse.  Aside from
       │ █   this anomaly, "Atoms All-Stars" is a very accurate
       │ █   representation of each emcee's skill.
