The Collapse prefer to do things the hard way. That's how they get
their sound. They don't like the concept of a "front man." They
don't entertain fantasies of becoming adored celebrities. Quite
frankly, they would rather plant their collective tongue-in-cheek
and fill a song chock full of Pierre Trudeau references rather
than try to pass themselves off as "Canada's answer to [something
American]." Comparable to Wilco, the Weakerthans and the Teenage
Mutant Ninja Turtles, The Collapse will be sharing their lonely
country prairie motown for a long time. Or die trying.
