Presented as a Limited Edition of strictly 500 copies only,
Shinuku Thief's latest album is Verhagen's 4th soundtrack for
the Australian Dance Theatre. A dynamic underscore, fusing
Shinjuku's requisitely epic cinematic flair with timbral edge
and microstructural rupture, supports the interaction of 8
posessed dancers, 30 German robots and film. Taking musical
influences from gothic, industrial, noise, electro-acoustics,
postrock, postclassical, doom, and electronica, "Devolution"
confronts, thrills and seduces by turn. This work premiered at
the Adelaide Festival this year and will tour the world in 2007.
