Since the beginning, Flowdan has played an integral part within
the Grime scene. Born in Forest Gate he went on to settle in Bow
where he began his journey as a Jungle MC on pirate radio. He
would often share the mic with Wiley, whom he would later join in
the Pay As U Go Cartel. As Wiley created the groundbreaking "Eski
Beats" Flowdan was naturally there in the studio MC-ing alongside
him, developing the sound that would become the musical force now
known as Grime. Together they would go on to form one of the most
important crews in Grime, Roll Deep.As part of Roll Deep and a
featured MC on Lethal Bizzle's POW, Flowdan has been a regular on
national radio as well as charting in the Official UK Top 40. His
collaboration with The Bug on the seminal track 'Skeng', has seen
him win another generation of fans. He has continued to gig
across the world at festivals and club nights and build a
reputation as a phenomenal live performer With recent releases on
Metalheadz and Hyperdub, Flowdan has shown himself to be an
artist that stands in his own light. He is now ready to release
his debut album on Tru Thoughts in 2016.
