██▓▓ Andreas Kauffelt is a name that carries weight on the ██▓▓
██▓▓ electronic music scene. With more than 40 releases ██▓▓
██▓▓ and a string of remarkable remixes under his belt for ██▓▓
██▓▓ labels such as ASR, Elektrolux, PV, Trope, ██▓▓
██▓▓ Electrocute Soundplates, Confused and Superstition ██▓▓
██▓▓ among others, he has always been a true originator on ██▓▓
██▓▓ the global techno and electro circuit. ██▓▓
██▓▓ Born and raised in Frankfurt/Germany, Andreas started ██▓▓
██▓▓ composing electronic music already in his early ██▓▓
██▓▓ childhood in the mid 80s. After the era of the ██▓▓
██▓▓ legendary C64 he soon developed a deep interest in ██▓▓
██▓▓ rare and ancient electronic equipment. In 1990 he ██▓▓
██▓▓ built up his own studio 'Geheimlabor', already ██▓▓
██▓▓ modifying and manipulating electronic equipment in ██▓▓
██▓▓ order to create his very own style of music. He soon ██▓▓
██▓▓ completed early production work with Michael Krieg, ██▓▓
██▓▓ which resulted in three well received 12"s on Thomas ██▓▓
██▓▓ Heckmann's Uptown label in 1993. A year later he ██▓▓
██▓▓ founded his own imprint Aural Satisfaction Records ██▓▓
██▓▓ (ASR). The debut release of the label entitled 'Aural ██▓▓
██▓▓ Traxx Vol.1' became a firm favourite with many DJs ██▓▓
██▓▓ and received amazing support from magazines around ██▓▓
██▓▓ the world. ██▓▓
██▓▓ From those early beginnings, éasr' has been credited ██▓▓
██▓▓ widely as a driving force and put Andreas' name on ██▓▓
██▓▓ the global techno map. Many live appearances on ██▓▓
██▓▓ festivals and in clubs followed, while éasr' was able ██▓▓
██▓▓ to build up an international reputation and sign some ██▓▓
██▓▓ of the most influential local production talents. ██▓▓
██▓▓ Artists such as Heiko Laux, Izzo/Maus (Gadgets), ██▓▓
██▓▓ dr.scissors, Mike L, Oscar Comas (Fieber) and Junoman ██▓▓
██▓▓ joined the label stable for various 12" releases. In ██▓▓
██▓▓ 1998 Andreas Kauffelt scored global critical acclaim ██▓▓
██▓▓ with his Subtonal project and the full length album ██▓▓
██▓▓ 'Dark Distortions' on Elektrolux. This longplayer ██▓▓
██▓▓ placed him within the top of the new generation of ██▓▓
██▓▓ electro producers and was often rated as a milestone ██▓▓
██▓▓ release, both for him as well as the label. Under his ██▓▓
██▓▓ Subtonal guise Andreas was touring alongside artists ██▓▓
██▓▓ like Pascal F.E.O.S., Aural Float, Future Funk and ██▓▓
██▓▓ Sven VΣth, playing at clubs such as Stammheim/Kassel, ██▓▓
██▓▓ Ultraschall/Munich, E-Werk/Berlin, Sensor/Zⁿrich, ██▓▓
██▓▓ U60311/Frankfurt among many others. ██▓▓
██▓▓ He has kept himself busy on the production front with ██▓▓
██▓▓ projects like Mobile Space Unit, Mohare and Monolove, ██▓▓
██▓▓ all of them being collaborations with the mighty ██▓▓
██▓▓ dr.scissors on Elektrolux. Mobile Space Unit's ██▓▓
██▓▓ 'Snakeman EP' on Thomas Heckmann's Electrocute ██▓▓
██▓▓ Soundplates label became a huge clubhit and was ██▓▓
██▓▓ picked up by Hooj Choons/UK. Monolove received a ██▓▓
██▓▓ re-release as well as remixes in the US on Anthony ██▓▓
██▓▓ Rother's Psi49Net outlet, and his massive floorfiller ██▓▓
██▓▓ 'Alternate' (asr 18) was licensed to Dutch imprint ██▓▓
██▓▓ Basic Beat. More recently Andreas established himself ██▓▓
██▓▓ as a household name in the scene even more with the ██▓▓
██▓▓ release of his first label compilation. 'Aural ██▓▓
██▓▓ Perspectives 01' was expertly mixed by himself and ██▓▓
██▓▓ focused on some of the most upfront moments in the ██▓▓
██▓▓ 'asr' catalogue. ██▓▓
██▓▓ Over the years Andreas has also become a highly ██▓▓
██▓▓ requested remixer with works for labels like ██▓▓
██▓▓ Elektrolux, PV, Manmade, Superstition, Luxus, Planet ██▓▓
██▓▓ Source, Cellophan, Trope and others, as well as for ██▓▓
██▓▓ artists such as Pascal F.E.O.S., Insect Jazz, ██▓▓
██▓▓ Supercruizer (Toby Izui & Gabriel Le Mar), Ultratubes ██▓▓
██▓▓ and Thomas Heckmann just to name a few. Back from a ██▓▓
██▓▓ two year experience in Australia the year 2002 sees ██▓▓
██▓▓ Andreas Kauffelt re-inventing his sound once again. ██▓▓
