██▓▓ Already before scoring an international hit with ██▓▓
██▓▓ Plastic Dreams, Dutch DJ ROBIN ALBERS could pride ██▓▓
██▓▓ himself in a fruitful career. Born 35 years ago, he ██▓▓
██▓▓ obtained a degree in commercial studies and as a ██▓▓
██▓▓ member of the Dutch national baseball team and triple ██▓▓
██▓▓ Dutch wrestling champion (in the category up to 70 ██▓▓
██▓▓ kilos) enjoyed ample success as a sportsman. ██▓▓
██▓▓ In the seventies Albers was one of the first mixing ██▓▓
██▓▓ DJ's in Holland. He played in clubs all over the ██▓▓
██▓▓ country and later went on to Dutch national radio, ██▓▓
██▓▓ where for 11 years he had his own show. Five times he ██▓▓
██▓▓ organised the annual Dutch Mixing Championship, and ██▓▓
██▓▓ in the past years he hosted various music and sports ██▓▓
██▓▓ programmes on national TV. He performed in Denmark, ██▓▓
██▓▓ Italy, Germany and Belgium, spinned at Amsterdam's ██▓▓
██▓▓ renowned Club. It and at almost every major rave in ██▓▓
██▓▓ Holland. ██▓▓
██▓▓ For three consecutive years his radio show For Those ██▓▓
██▓▓ Who Like To Groove got elected Best Dutch Dance Show ██▓▓
██▓▓ - a unique accomplishement for which in 1992 he ██▓▓
██▓▓ received an industry award. Besides his musical ██▓▓
██▓▓ activities as JAYDEE, Robin also concentrates on his ██▓▓
██▓▓ own label First Impression and his Club in Vianen ██▓▓
██▓▓ (near Utrecht), where the maxim "House music for ██▓▓
██▓▓ groovy people" still prevails. ██▓▓
██▓▓ Robin's early musical influences include blues, jazz ██▓▓
██▓▓ and funk. He admires great personalities such as ██▓▓
██▓▓ Winston Churchill, Johan Cruyff, Martin Luther King ██▓▓
██▓▓ and Mikhail Gorbatsjev and dislikes unfairness, slow ██▓▓
██▓▓ drivers, drunk people, wiseguys and most politi ██▓▓
██▓▓ cians. His hobbies: water sports, skiing and tennis. ██▓▓
██▓▓ An amateur of good food (preferably Indonesian or ██▓▓
██▓▓ Dutch), he is however a dedicated non-drinker and ██▓▓
