: - My mans used to say - Man, If we had that beat, it's over :
: for! "Pause" actually came off a beat tape we used to ride :
: back in 99. Make a long story short, they wanted it, they :
: got it, that's family. Done with the 3000, a couple of :
: blunts, a little Red Clay a couple of secret ingredients. :
  : There u have it. ¡ I gotta say this ¡ Frank ¡ n ¡ Dank is :

: in my head from time to time, (crazy right?), but could :
: never duplicate. Until now ¡ Done with Hi Hat from a 909, an :
: oscillator, a metronome click for a kick drum and the :
: magnificent Triton keyboard and there u have it. Reminds me :

: - I've always considered Beej one of the illest, making the :
: collabo easier than groupies. My mans came through ¡ it :
: seemed like 5mins after I told him about the project, he was :
: layin' vocals. Oh yeah, I changed the beat at the last :
  : minute, the original had a sample (didn't have time 2 :
: clear), I hope you dig it. Rugged and Raw! ¡ Beej, come :

: - One of my favourite Earth Wind and Fire grooves. I always :
: wanted to sample that shit ¡ make another long story short, :
: I wanted this cover to sound like something a beat digger :
: could find ¡ feel me? Oh yeah, I left the drums open (for :
: all you beat heads). I even looped it for you! Enjoy :

: - My mans Shoes gave me some wax with Hodge and Lacks :
: rhyming on it. Basically, shoes brought them to me and it :
: was on, in the basement with (1) Adat machine working, they :
: quickly wrote and dropped verse(s). Funny they actually to :
: the beat after the song ¡ Peep- to all my beatheads, if you :

: the 2 breakbeats used for the drum loop ¡ Ha! Ha! :

  : - If I do something, I gotta do it right ¡ For REAL. I fell :
: in love with Brazilian music ever since the day I listened :
: to a Sergio Mendes album, we used to have jam sessions in :
: the studio. After work was done, one day my mans Karriem :
: Riggins came through. I asked him for Bossa Nova ¡ he gave :
: me exactly what I needed ¡ Good lookin', I present to you, :

: - Shake it down was done by mistake ¡ check it. I had a beat :
: block for a minute, I told myself Get yo'ass in the basement :
: and make some shit, if you don╣t somebody will! No lie, I :
: looped the first thing the needle touched ¡ some HAPPY- ASS :
: FOLK SONG SHIT (just my luck). Trying to be funny, I :
: filtered the loop. After passing a few blunts I thought of :
: some rhymes to it ¡ so I finished it. Enjoy. Oh yeah ¡ :
