Ireland's Kodaline proved the enduring power of the classic four-
piece rock line-up when they burst out of their Dublin suburb
with 2007's debut single 'Give Me A Minute.' It became the first
independently released single to hit the heights of number one on
the Irish charts and immediately established the group as
contenders for U2's throne. But rather than rush headlong into
the studio to capitalize on their hype, Kodaline took their time
writing and settling on a stable line-up before finally releasing
an acclaimed self-titled EP in 2012. Their debut album, In A
Perfect Word (2013), allowed Kodaline to make a gloriously noisy
transatlantic splash.
