│║ Something new from Pretty Maids, a band that I felt was ║ │
│║ always there. Founded in 1981, the Danes included as ║ │
│║ opening act for greats like Black Sabbath, Deep Purple or ║ │
│║ Saxon. The first album was released in 1984 (Red, Hot And ║ │
│║ Heavy), the last release last year (Undress Your Madness). ║ │
│║ The quintet is somewhere between old school hard rock and ║ │
│║ heavy metal. In 2003 Ken Hammer, one of the two remaining ║ │
│║ founders, fell ill, but luckily recovered. Then last year ║ │
│║ the shock: Ronnie was diagnosed with lung cancer. The good ║ │
│║ Ronnie is just in her mid-50s. The good news came in ║ │
│║ February of this year. Ronnie published the following ║ │
│║ statement: ║ │
│║ ôSome good news! ║ │
│║ A couple of days ago I had the fantastic message that there ║ │
│║ are no more signs of cancer to be seen / tracked based on ║ │
│║ the scans that I had taken recently. That's the best news I ║ │
│║ have had in a long time, thank god? ║ │
│║ As for everyone who's encountered cancer, I'm fully aware ║ │
│║ that it doesn't necessarily mean that I'm ôhomesafeö and ║ │
│║ the next 5 years are so to speak crucial, but nevertheless ║ │
│║ it's a big step in the right direction and a great relief ║ │
│║ for me and my family. ║ │
│║ To avoid or lower the chances of reoccurrences the doctors ║ │
│║ have reccomended me to undergo immunotherapy for the next ║ │
│║ year, which I've naturally agreed to and allready started ║ │
│║ up. Now it's time to recuperate, regain some strength and ║ │
│║ knock myself back into shape, witch I'm eager to do.There ║ │
│║ will / might be some sequelae that I have to deal with, but ║ │
│║ so be it. That's life ║ │
│║ With the risk of being accused of repeating myself I once ║ │
│║ again wanna express my sincere thanx to all of you out ║ │
│║ there (my army of beautiful souls?) WhoÆs been supporting ║ │
│║ me through out this with sweet greetings, messages, advice ║ │
│║ and prayers. ║ │
│║ It's been heart warming and I'm forever grateful " ║ │

│║ We definitely keep our fingers crossed for Ronnie and hope ║ │
│║ to see Pretty Maids on stage again. The tour to the 2019 ║ │
│║ plant is still pending. ║ │

│║ The current release is a concert recording from Japan, ║ │
│║ where 30 years of Future World were celebrated in 2017. ║ │
│║ Future Word was Pretty Maids' second album from 1987. In ║ │
│║ contrast to the works of the 90s, Future World is hard ║ │
│║ rock, which also moves towards AOR. The use of the keyboard ║ │
│║ gave the sound a certain soft note. After the intro you can ║ │
│║ hear the entire 87er Langeisen live, which comes across a ║ │
│║ bit harder than the studio. Furthermore, with Mother Of All ║ │
│║ Lies (title track 2013), Kingmaker and BullÆs Eye (both ║ │
│║ Kingmaker, 2016), Little Drops Of Heaven (title track 2010) ║ │
│║ and Sin-Decade (title track 1992) a small selection of best ║ │
│║ of tracks can be heard. ║ │
│║ I can't judge the mood in Japan, but it's supposed to be ║ │
│║ very good. In my opinion, the audience doesn't come across ║ │
│║ as good, the sound is otherwise pleasant, and something ║ │
│║ like Sin-Decade or Needles In The Dark booms cleanly out of ║ │
│║ my speakers. At a time when you cannot experience concerts ║ │
│║ live, of course a very welcome change. ║ │
│║ There are different formats in which the work is delivered: ║ │
│║ - CD + DVD (jewel case) ║ │
│║ - 2LP (180g, gatefold) ║ │
│║ - Blu-ray ║ │
│║ The CD + DVD and Blu-Ray format also includes a bonus disc ║ │
│║ with a whole bunch of videos, interviews and documentaries. ║ │
