Black Sea is the shoegaze outfit of artist/producer Cole Devine. Ranging from
minimalist post-punk to experimental dream pop, Black SeaÆs sound combines
abstract guitar tones, driving bass lines, & layers of breathy harmonious
vocals. Devine has been writing & recording since 2010, as well as performing
with many different groups as a guitarist, bassist, & drummer. Black Sea
performs with a revolving cast of members & collaborators including Joo Joo
Ashworth(Froth), Sage Ross(FKA Sage), & Maxwell Royer(Cat Signs). As a
collaborator Devine is featured a vocalist on FrothÆs album ôBleakö, guitar
player on CloudÆs album ôPlays With Fireö, & bass player on FKASageÆs
forthcoming album. ôCole also mentioned that the follow-up to last yearÆs
Disappointing Sunset (one of our favorite 2017 releases) is currently in the
final mixing stage. The 10 new songs ôwill definitely be another step in the
