      │ a madlib invazion
      │
      │ from the linear notes
      │
│ MADLIB is from california. he makes music in a converted bomb shelter below a house in los angeles, a city that's
│ never been bombed. this mixtape was put together with tracks from the TROJAN catalogue.
      │
│ the intro track is actually comprised of three other tracks. these are:
      │
│ david isaacs - a place in the sun
│ king stitt - fire corner
      │ i-roy - black man time
      │
      │ -taken from turntablelab.com
      │
│ apparently, the story behind this one is that antidote records out of the uk thought it would be a great idea to get
│ madlib to record a reggae+dub mix for them. stalwart uk roots label trojan backed the idea, and shipped off the better
│ part of their entire catalogue to the man while he got "blunted in the bomb shelter." they are releasing the results
│ in three formats: an unmixed ep and 2lp that samples the session and cd of the full 46 track mix done with two
      │ technics 1200's, a cdj-1000, and an akai dps12i.
      │
│ this is the 46 (actually 45) track mix you hold in your ... harddrive. i hold it in my hands. ha ha. phhbbbbttt.
