:: Release Notes:
::
:: Wesley Jefferson Band, The Delta Blues Live from the Do Drop
:: Inn, 1996 Repap, $15. Wesley and his band (including Super
:: Chikan, John Ruskey, "Rip" Butler and Dr. Mike) rip through a
:: collection of classic covers and memorable originals on this
:: nicely packaged "live" blues CD. This CD is a welcome release
:: that captures a bit of that "juke mystique." Wesley and
:: friends don't play the Do Drop Inn in Shelby, Mississippi
:: much anymore, but they do play clubs and jukes like Sarah's,
:: Ground Zero and Reese's in their own hometown of Clarksdale,
:: Mississippi.
