eastenders is the german dj and journalist stefan mueller. he is
one of the authorities in germany concerning
asian-underground-sound. he supported trilok gurtu and badmarsh &
shri on tour and hosted the event ôindian vibesö in frankfurt for
3 years. besides his producer / dj career, eastenders works for
the public german radio station ôyou fmö (formerly ôhr xxlö) and
has his own show called ôloungeö (formerly ôfreesytlisticö) û
another platform for the ôglobal music movementö!
after compiling the sampler äorientationô for poets club records,
dj eastenders comes up with his first 12ö on pcr. ôoriginal styleö
is the title, and it incorporates funky bass lines with oriental
elements which were partially played live. the well-respected
underwolves (jazzanova-compost-rec.) and badmarsh (outcaste) were
taken by the track so much that they offered eastenders to do a
remix for ôoriginal styleö ...to be found on this 12ö as well!
in addition, there is the quite outstanding tune ôrisingô, which
blends dub and house with a very melancholic blues guitar.
ôrisingö shows that eastenders is not only focussed on asian
sounds.
