Release Notes:
After a short break mofo recordings are back with
their first single since winning the breakspoll
award(for the third time!) For best magazine, and its
an absolute corker from platinum mules who follow up
previous mofo single 'broke/fun-bot'(mofo003) and
their west records output in fine style with 'the
hammer' which is already finding favour with the likes
of Soul of Man, Diverted, Aquasky, Rogue Element,
Hyper, Soto, Elite Force, Move Ya and Friendly. The
original mix on the a showcases the techie funk
dynamics of the mules production with a heavyweight
bassline supporting an superb funk-driven guitar riff
- this rocks it. Flip for the Beat Assassins remix who
take it on an electronic, hip-shaking peak time party
slammer kind of tip, ideal for those needing less tech
and more phat to their funk.
