Formed out of the ashes of the much loved South London outock
band Delicate Awol 'Hope Your Wounds Heal' is the debut release
of Jim Version and Caroline Ross - otherwise knows as 'Tells'.
Jim has fast been making a name for himself as owner and
producer of Aberdeen recording retreat Steadling Studios.
(Bonnie Prince Billy, Alasdair Roberts, Hookers Green No1, the
Great Depression have all recorded albums their recently) while
Caroline Ross has been appearing on a number of colloborative
efforts - most notably that with Susumo Yokota (Lo Recordings).
As previous incarnation Delicate Awol they made swirls of epic
jazz-psychadelia but since parting ways with their rhythm
section have been given room to explore a more minamilist
approach built around Carolines vocals and Jims scattered but
beautifully executed off beat arrangements. Jim himself takes
centre stage for the first time on opener 'What Does Your Angel
Do' and is joined throughout by a number of musicians including
Ryoko Toyama (backing vocals on standout track 'Their Chimes
Are Our Undoing'), Phil Johnston (flure), Neil Scolley (drums),
Laura Desbrisay and Jo Wright who provides the districtive
trumpet sounds - a key element of Delicate Awols latter day
recordings.
Their sound is rooted deeply in their surroundings and while
tracks such as 'Falling' give the record a much needed boost of
agression - the majority of tracks wouldnÆt sound out of place
on the soundtrack to a 21st century take on cult horror flick
the 'Wickerman'
The album launch for Hope Your Wounds Heal takes place on the
24th May (Wednesday) at the Spitz in London.

Dgn is around since 1998...
After a few years, a few rippers who left, a few who joined, people
greeting,people yelling, people threatening, people helping, people
watching, we're still enjoying our aime: Let ppl listen to what they
are gonna buy b4 they pay a single penny.
There have been also some people and groups that helped out during the
last few years, maybe it's because of them that (against all odds) we
are still releasing and doing well, those know who they are, and we'll
thank forever.
We remind our beloved public, we're against all kind of distrubution,
don't search our rips neither in your preferred XDcc channel, nor in
your local 127.0.0.1 p2p program, We do not distribute ! But it's not
nice to buy when you do not know what you're buying.
As a matter of fact, DGN is a private group, and do not need rippers,
fast or slow shells, traders, t1+ sites, couriers, prewhores, and hw
suppliers, we need only a nice chalet in Switzerland/Canada or a Villa
in the Caribbean sea where to listen to some chillout music.
