This, the debut CD album from The Tarantulas has ended nearly four
years of waiting, but when you hear all the tracks we think youÆll
agree it has been worth it. So, why the wait? Well, we donÆt really
know and we donÆt care because the album, is going to astonish DJÆs
and dancers alike, as weÆve already seen with tracks like
ôRepetitions In Joyö with itÆs opening organ riff loop, that people
immediately take notice of. This is by no means the best track
(weÆll leave you to decide that one), as there are a staggering
eighteen tracks to choose from on the CD(twelve on the vinyl). We
could say a lot about this album, but lets face it, you really make
your own mind up when playing it yourself, so just play it and let
us know what we already knowàthat this is one of the best albums we
have ever released. However, for those of you new to the sounds of
The Tarantulas, you need to imagine the nu-jazz sound that is
emanating from Germany with the likes of Les Gammas etc, and the
broken grooves of West London cats like IG Culture, but (and this
is a big BUT) with a big sense of what ægrooveÆ essentially means,
and with enough pure jazz/funk musicianship to touch a lot of other
acts into place. Need we say more, or are you going to buy the
