Welcome to the wonderful world of Sniper Mode. However, the dude
behind this project is more commonly known as the supertalented
Gregor Trescher, who presents his debut release for Elektrolux.
An outstanding, urban sounding EP that, after a dark and cinematic
intro, kicks off with the title tune "Big City Lights", a tough
electro groove with squelchy bleeps, metallic clangs, thumping beats
and a rumbling bassline. On the flip we have "Fiber Link", another
fine example of Gregor's incredible electro skills, beaconing you on
the dancefloor over stripped down analogue beats and bass. Last but
by no means least we have "Locked On", a fantastic midtempo groove
which pitches the pace down a notch or two and shows a deeper side
to Gregor's sound. An outrageous EP that's easy on the ears and
tough on the dancefloor. Watch out for plenty of more quality with
forthcoming Sniper Mode releases...
