█░█ avoiding leading the listener down a winding path █░█
█░█ of tedious wank. With a heritage that includes █░█
█░█ playing alongside Sun Ra, James Brown, Miles █░█
█░█ Davis, Leon Thomas, Fela Kuti and Ornette █░█
█░█ Coleman, Steve Reid is more than able to hold his █░█
█░█ own against the complex structures assembled by █░█
█░█ Hebden - with the opening 20 minute gambit of █░█
█░█ 'Hold Down The Rhythms' a wildly roaming burst of █░█
█░█ improv that sees the protagonists switching █░█
█░█ between open conflict and gentle acquiesce. Not █░█
█░█ the kind of thing that lends itself readily to █░█
█░█ lexical description, it's safe to say that if you █░█
█░█ liked the first one you'll like this, with 'The █░█
█░█ Exchange Session Vol. 2' as pure a dose of █░█
█░█ ambling improv you'll hear this year. For those █░█
█░█ who find themselves allergic to such enterprises, █░█
