This cheeky 7" is the most recent offering from our Finnish
friends Fonal and features two of their finest artists on top
form. ItÆs no surprise that TV Resistori have come up with
another synth led lo-fi pop classic, but the real shock is
Islaja, who lay down a jaunty pop number (albeit crushed to
bits and sounding like it was recorded in your dads shed).
Singing the catchy chorus "Melodi Melodika" Islaja sound as
lost and as endearing as ever, but with a certain otherworldly
chart punch to it - a very odd track, but all the better for
it. Housed in a beautiful sleeve and pressed on extra thick
vinyl (feels like you could use it as a weapon in a Jet Li
movie itÆs that substantial!) this is yet another lovely Fonal
item on a format that seems to be making a drastic revival.
Lovely.
