While ChicagoÆs Galapagos 4 is better known for championing the cityÆs local
indie hip hop, their latest release "Tuff Love" is something of an anomaly
sitting as it does among records by Typical Cats, Offwhyte and Mestizo. But if
you are the owner of an underground hip hop label and a member of a band that
combines elements of indie rock, house, electro and yes hip hop, then you can
do whatever the fuck you want. So it goes for G4 honcho Justus Roe, his band
Royce. Who said indie hip hop and stuff that sounds like latter New Order
couldn't work together?
