    ▓███     æTransparenciesÆ is the first collaboration between         ███▓
    ▓███     Roger Eno (who has released on the All Saints imprint       ███▓
    ▓███     and is BrianÆs brother if you wondered) and New Yorker,     ███▓
    ▓███     Will Thomas aka Plumbline, who has produced two albums      ███▓
    ▓███     so far on Hydrogen Dukebox (æCirclesÆ and æPinpointsÆ).     ███▓
    ▓███     The recording of æTransparenciesÆ began with joining        ███▓
    ▓███     the dots of various churches and buildings among the        ███▓
    ▓███     beautiful landscape of East Anglia, England. Taken          ███▓
    ▓███     quite literally, these were field recordings among the      ███▓
    ▓███     fields. The first sounds were RogerÆs simple yet            ███▓
    ▓███     compelling melodies played on harmonium, organ, piano,      ███▓
    ▓███     and accordion. But also captured were the various,          ███▓
    ▓███     incidental sounds of church bells, clicking clocks and      ███▓
    ▓███     passing cars.                                               ███▓
    ▓███     Then to New York for the next phase as Will manipulated     ███▓
    ▓███     the recordings - twisting, soaking, shaping and             ███▓
    ▓███     chopping the sounds and adding to them with soft synth      ███▓
    ▓███     tones and subtle, gritty rhythms. æAdaptationÆ features     ███▓
    ▓███     the church bells transformed into melody and mixed with     ███▓
    ▓███     succinct, reverberated piano hits. Chords were edited       ███▓
    ▓███     and effected to create swells and drones as in æA Few       ███▓
    ▓███     Streets AwayÆ and in æWith InsightÆ and æEvery So           ███▓
    ▓███     OftenÆ the piano melodies were left to stand almost on      ███▓
    ▓███     their own; at times, letting the sounds of cars and         ███▓
    ▓███     local ambience rest quietly in the background.              ███▓
    ▓███     æIt All Becomes ClearÆ pulsates an accordion line that      ███▓
    ▓███     ultimately finds its original, unaltered clarity and        ███▓
    ▓███     the solely rhythmic æIntersectionÆ was created almost       ███▓
    ▓███     entirely out of atonal sounds from the accordion such       ███▓
    ▓███     as button snaps and the breath and creaks of the            ███▓
    ▓███     bellows that resemble an old shipÆs twisting timbers.       ███▓
