Now this is more like it! If youÆve been a little dismayed by the
lack of industrial noisy crunch dripping out from the cracks at
Planet Mu HQ recently then look no further, Dr. Kohei (aka Guilty
Connector) is ready to assault your eardrums and place dirty
fish-hooks into your brain bits. I donÆt know about you but I have
a real soft spot for extreme Japanese horror films û you know the
kind, weÆve had a few break out into the mainstream û Audition
being the most obvious. These are usually twisted, sadistic and
Godless pieces of æto-the-limitsÆ body horror û eye gouging,
torture and pain being focal points. However thereÆs always
something amiss with these films, they tend to be accompanied by
the most mundane and least horrific music you could ever come up
with û I mean, what are they thinking? Now this is where Guilty
Connector comes inà his defined brand of frightening noise sounds
exactly like a Japanese exploitation horror flick û metallic
clunks rattle, screeches echo out around metallic boxes and
electronic drones burble and scratch like mutated animals trapped
in the bowels of hell. I mean, you could almost forget the visuals
altogether, æBeats, Noise and LifeÆ certainly has enough grit to
make even the most liberal censor think twice about making
tasteful edits. Crushing, sickening and probably very bad for your
hearing û a guilty pleasure!
