Once there was a boy who thought he knew exactly what he wanted.
He enjoyed all sorts of things, and especially enjoyed walking
faster than most cars drive. He was determined...so determined! On
his first fine day of work as a book seller, he met another
man...boy...thing. This one liked progressives and folksy music a
lot. Weeks past and the first boy met another boy at a video game
store. This one had spiky hair and looked like a neat punk rock
kind of person. The three boys started a band, decidedly
something..."different." Soon the beginnings of what you hear
today met another boy. This one wore glasses and liked metal
music, but also enjoyed bands with funny names like Spoon. They
exchanged ideas, each others songs, and that's what is us.
The Trimmed Hedges - Abandoned Cities EP
The debut EP from The Trimmed Hedges, Abandoned Cities, radiates
as an entire movement. From the high powered progressive elements
of "The Plug (Part I)," through the collapsing foundations of
"Lost in Atmosphere (Part II)," to the boundless wasteland of
"We've Caught a Spark (Part III)." Abandoned Cities is a unique
collection of songs capturing unbounded hope strengthened by
disastrous failure.
