the man behind "static" is drummer/producer hanno leichtmann
(*1970). he came to berlin in 1994 and soon became a part of the
local electronical music scene, being especially familiar with
jazz and improvised music.
static produces "electronic listening music that you can dance to"
- cool grooving & swinging machines with rhodes piano, vocoder and
808. this "electronic electro jazz" stems from hanno`s most
important influences: kraftwerk, cool jazz, sun ra, european free
jazz, john cage, old school hip hop and dub reggae.
