TANGERINE (2006)  And then came the juggernaut. Brad Jones and I ate an
excellent dinner at a Turkish restaurant two days after I received the suprising
news that I was no longer to be associated with Nettwerk. We had already booked
studio time and musicians on the assurances from the label that they would be
releasing another record, and Brad was very courageous in moving forward despite
the unexpected severance of ties. The entire thing was basically recorded in two
and a half weeks, a blur of good health and realized intentions. I have never
stretched as far, the effect not unlike rehabilitating a few slightly atrophied
muscles by sprinting at full speed for all your worth. Here you have it, the
unexpected triumphs of nonchalance and peanut butter. Fingers crossed, listen
twice and call me in the morning.
