Ultra-limited edition tour cd from the incredible Keith
Fullerton Whitman - a single track EP (over 20 mins long) that
comes in a run of 200 copies only. Taking cues from Whitman's
unmatched Playthroughs album with deep harmonic drones and
bubbling bass pulses, this EP adds layers of decomposing
digital interference for a masterclass in effervecent, warm
ambience. This is the sort of track that made Whitman so well
known in the first place, and showcases his incredible talent
for making the most unusual sounds so beautiful. Cascading
sine tones, sub-aquatic rumbles and his patented organ hum --
you can lose yourself entirely in the ghostly, melodic
arrangements that Whitman handles so effortlessly. Originally
written as a ten minute track in 2002, the source material has
now been reworked and reshaped into what we can hear today,
and as an extra curiousity the track is totally bi-
directional, meaning it plays exactly the same backwards as it
does forwards... I'm sure I'm not the only one struggling to
get my head around how the man has managed that. Strictly
limited copies - just sublime.
