▓ 13th Son is no stranger to Australian Hip Hop. He ▓
▓ began MCing in 92 at the tender age of 12 as part of ▓
▓ the group "Industrial Dispute" and just one year ▓
▓ later he was seen gracing the stage with the likes of ▓
▓ Def Wish Cast, 046 and The Noble Savages all legends ▓
▓ of the local scene then and now. His first release ▓
▓ came shortly after with the Industrial Dispute ▓
▓ cassette "Industrial Strength" (1994) and following ▓
▓ that spent the next few years appearing at various ▓
▓ gigs around town and making a name for himself with ▓
▓ his flawless flow and sophisticated style. By '96 ▓
▓ "Industrial Dispute" had changed its name to Fathom ▓
▓ and really turned the heat up taking Sydney by storm ▓
▓ with the '97 release of The beats from 20,000 Fathoms ▓
▓ on cassette. A few more standout appearances on ▓
▓ compilations and supporting many fine international ▓
▓ acts including Latyrx , Blackalicious and Mystik ▓
▓ Journeyman led to the demand for some solo material ▓
▓ and in 2000 13th Son released his debut 4 track EP ▓
▓ Always on Basic Equipment. Entirely produced by ▓
▓ Sereck the EP received outstanding reviews far and ▓
▓ wide and showed all that 13th Son could well and ▓
▓ truly hold his own as a solo MC. ▓
