selection of modern housegroovin' talents strictly for the
connais-seurs of high quality, vital, funky and deep up-to-date
clubsound, compiled and mixed live by Vincenzo. Besides tracks &
remixes from the likes of Swag or Masters At Work "Strip Joint
Grooves Vol .1" features mainly the best of the modern German House
from such quality labels as Needs, Cabinet, Tracks Of Interest and
Pottheadz. "Strip Joint Grooves Vol.1" also features exclusive
pre-releases of Days Drive By (John Buckby & Vincenzo) and Satin
Souls. Paying authentic homage to all things deep and delectable,
Vincenzo is for sure one of german house music's main afficionados.
After dwelling around on his hometown's (Hamburg) local clubscene
pretty soon his interest in music made him what he is today: Eating
and drinking music as a full time occupation. Upcoming releases
include a highly acclaimed cooperation with Nottingham's Schmoov
(John Buckby), also featured on this CD.
About Vincenzo:
Longtime Dessous artist Vincenzo Ragone is a resident of Barcelona.
He lives in the same building as both techno lord Cristian Vogel,
and a former A-ha producerà.but his own music belongs somewhere in
the middle of these two extremes. Originally from Hamburg, Vincenzo
made his mark on Steve Bugs excellent Dessous label through a
number of singles, and two artist albums, 1-800-Vincenzo (1998) and
Welcome to Zanarkand (2002). He then went on to release top quality
house records on Silver Network and Transport; he has remixed for
labels such as Naked Music and !K7. Vincenzo has collaborated as a
producer with DJ Rasoul, ADNY, Maurice Fulton, Fred Everything,
Steve Bug and many others. In fact, he has even recorded a track
with porn star Terri Summers. Who we have never heard ofà.until now
(ahem). Vincenzo has also released on Winding Road (and Density
Recordings) as Days Drive By, a project with WR boss John Buckby.
