mind horizon's intention is to create a unique forum for fresh
musical talent by combining new tracks by new artists on one
release. the mind horizon eps break down musical barriers, push the
envelope of music further and open new musical doors.
mustang
debuting as mustang following releases as the bel air project,
swiss born alex attias fuses deep modal jazz with experimental
breakbeats. utilising brush sticks within a drum and bass
structure, the mustang creates a mind fuck atmosphere on
"starwatcher" for the future beat heads. cited as "one to watch" by
the likes of 4-hero and gilles peterson, the mustang is speeding
towards a bright highway.

the two artists featured here met at art school and came together
for this ep for a collaboration of weird and wonderful experiments.
chris baliff, who has also recorded as buggersod, spends his time
creating abstract rhythms based on obscure fifties melodies mixed
with various electronic mediums. he is joined here on both "cartoon
pictures" and "glamourous world" by the unique vocal talent of
valerie perkins. with an ear for strange melodies, position normal
push forward the possibilities in new music.
wisdom of harry
formerly frontman for indie band the weather prophets, pete astor
writes his distinctive music at home on basic lo-fi equipment. from
his mind come forth tunes of unequalled quality. a
singer/songwriter by trade, pete experiments here with the more
instrumental side of his talents (on "zardoz overture" and "hansa
toy corporation") and subtly introducing his voice in the deep,
enigmatic "23 sky".
l*roneous
l'ron's san francisco home has in recent times spawned some of the
most exciting hip hop to emerge from the states. his music carries
the same distinctive hallmark. with beats produced by dj zeph,
l*ron dazzles listeners with his poetical, thought provoking
approach to fresh rap. track one is "l'chemy", a scientifically
heavy breakbeat-led tune and track two is the title track taken
from his debut album forthcoming on ocean floor records,
"imaginarium", is an adventure in performance hip hop. the eps
final track features the uk's top deck destroyers, the scratch
perverts putting a different spin on "l*chemy" - this remix is
handled by the uk's world dmc representative, prime cuts.
