Slam return on their Soma Records label, with the Quiet Riot EP. 2020 has been
a very prolific year for the the duo, delivering their 4th EP for the label so
far this year. All their firing trademark sounds and intricacies remain intact
in this 3 track hard hitting release. Severed opens with hard, industrial
elements as the relentless percussion fires off, but in true Slam style the
vibe remains hypnotic and engaging. Motor drifts into more Birmingham-esq
territory with twitch and modulating sequences leading the way again straight,
jacked up percussion. Intensifying things on the last track, Electrical turns
up the drive and delivers tension with white knuckle percussive workouts,
thundering kicks and dynamic synths.
