Release Notes:
As with Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl,
Klaus Badelt delivers a superior, lively action score for Wolfgang
Petersen's Poseidon. Sharp percussion & brass punctuate the
crashing & rolling as the huge rogue wave turns the Poseidon
upside down, and brass & strings create a fantastic portrait of
the huge ship cruising along in the opening sequence. Strings
portray the panic-stricken passengers as they are flung into a
dizzying abyss in the ballroom. The only reason this one did not
get 5 stars is because so much of the score was omitted here. For
a 90-minute film I would have expected to see a soundtrack lasting
longer than 40 minutes. Still highly recommended!
