Chasing the Coyote - Chasing the Coyote (New Full EP) Southwest Oklahoma has its
first edition of music to fall under the ôdesert rockö genre with the debut of
Chasing the Coyote. The band features Ryan Tyler, guitar/vocals, Travis Flood,
vocals; and Brett Gallant, drums. Their connection is as Southwest Oklahoma as
the crunching mesquite stomp riffs and windblown atmospherics that make their
music something special. This is their self titled debut EP. These five songs
follow a lonely gunslinger on his quest for immortality, From 'Chasing the
Coyote,Æ to facing his death in the song æEnd Of a Gunslinger.Æ Upon escaping,
he takes refuge with a æMedicine ManÆ who takes him to the spirit land where he
comes in contact with the eater of worlds, the æHoly Serpent.Æ With his wish
granted for immortality granted it doesnÆt come without cost. He is forced to
spend eternity doing the bidding of the serpent as the mythical æWendigo.Æö
This EP has heavy doom, blues and grunge influence with a tinge of stoner rock
thrown in there.
