         █░█    This was originally released on fonal records.     █░█
         █░█    Say Hey Records has licensed it and is releasing   █░█
         █░█    it in the states. This goes out to SER!            █░█

         █░█    SHOCK! HORROR! Fonal record in English language    █░█
         █░█    shock! Quick, somebody call the Daily Mail, I      █░█
         █░█    think we have a scoop. Sadly, "Heartcore" was      █░█
         █░█    released a fair few years ago and this is          █░█
         █░█    probably old news, but damn it's important to us.  █░█
         █░█    Their debut album, æHeartcore' introduced Finnish  █░█
         █░█    folk/rock/pop act Kiila to the world and set them  █░█
         █░█    on their merry journey to, errr, worldwide         █░█
         █░█    acclaim. Ish. Recorded by Fonal boss and musician  █░█
         █░█    Sami Sanpakkila (aka Es) the album sounds          █░█
         █░█    something like a cross between prog/folk demons    █░█
         █░█    Comus, The BBC Radiophonic Workshop and Captain    █░█
         █░█    Beefheart -- avoiding the pitfalls which might     █░█
         █░█    accompany such an ambitious venture. Although not  █░█
         █░█    as accomplished as it's epic followup,             █░█
         █░█    æHeartcore' is still a hugely enjoyable listening  █░█
         █░█    experience, being varied and interesting           █░█
         █░█    throughout, with two tracks in the middle          █░█
         █░█    pointing us closer to Wolf Eyes then Nick Drakeà   █░█
         █░█    a surprise and a most welcome one I must say.      █░█
         █░█    Housed in absolutely gorgeous artwork inked by     █░█
         █░█    none other than Jan Anderzen of Kemialliset        █░█
         █░█    Ystavat fame this is another cd you're going to    █░█
         █░█    want to throw at your ever-expanding Fonal         █░█
         █░█    collection.                                        █░█
