RELEASE NOTES:
Since 1996, Showstar, rock'n'roll squad resulting from the
suburbs of a small belgian town called huy, became a
reference in many belgian venues in company of more or less
respectable rogues as Ash (uk), Mogwai (scotland), Hawskley
Workman (can), Olivia tremor control (usa)... then, the
desire came for building a beautiful disc. Wish that came
true thanks to the comrades of the anorak supersport label.
After the bright and devastating single "out of my head"
(which became one of the favourites played on radio 21 in
2002), Showstar leaves its first album ("we are ready"). An
album with mad, bitter, pubescent, cynical and light songs.
Showstar is a powerful sextet, all guitars and trumpets
outside, with catchy melodies and wide open mouth.
Dishevelling on stage and on disc, Showstar does not hide
its anglo-saxon influences nor does disavow its
poprockpunkoid filiation.
