For the 227th release on Ready Mix Records, we welcome back
Khaaron with two stunning original productions, accompanied by
remixes from VieL, Kiano & Below Bangkok, Paul2Paul and Mellow
Men.
Previously known as Robert R. Hardy and D.M.P., Khaaron's heady
and relaxed production style has won him fans all over the map
and is perfectly characterised by the opening track 'Del Sol',
which neatly blends Balearic sunset sensibilities with subtle
Eastern touches.
Greek producer VieL's remix of 'Del Sol' delivers a
tech-inspired and melodic groove, dripping with both sunshine
and spirituality.
Khaaron's second original track, 'Grietas Del Alma' ('Cracks of
the Soul') summons up a denser atmosphere, with straight-up
rhythms and a haunting, bitter-sweet melody.
Emerging talent Paul2Paul's version of 'Grietas Del Alma' deftly
flips that same melody into one of pure positivity by placing an
entirely new chord progression behind it, raising the tempo and
adding soul-stirring original strings.
Label residents Kiano & Below Bangkok deliver a warmer, deeper
and more hypnotic version that they've completely owned by
adding their own special signature, including an inspirational
and rebellious spoken word vocal filled with wisdom.
Last but certainly not least, Mellow Men return to the label
with a nostalgic, mesmerizing and bottom-heavy rework while
brilliantly recycling the Original melodies with their
innovative techniques.
