The working-title of Alejandro Amo and Ramiro Larrain,
Microesfera have comprised a central spoke of Buenos AiresÆ
techno scene since the late 90s.
Along with the likes of Gustavo Lamas and Leandro Fresco,
Microesfera are one of the southern coneÆs most popular
electronic acts - bringing a minimal-tech sound to bear on
an undulating emotional palate that extends beyond the oft
formulaic tracts that can comprise this digital genre.
Having recently released two EPÆs on JapanÆs Mule
Electronic label (which include remixes by Mike Shannon and
Gustavo Lamas), their debut album for Static Discos is a
concept piece which feeds a techno predilection into a
backward mesh of avant-dance aesthetics. Or something...
Flitting from all out analogue to microhouse and dub,
'Negative' is further bolstered by a couple of remixes from
Mexican wunderkinds Latinsizer and Fax, plus a third retool
by Receptor from Chile. Microscopic!
