Following on from the well-received debut EP from Gessture, Enclave
Records reaches its fifth release and rounds off the year in style
with a four-tracker from Spanish maestro Alejandro Rodriguez, aka
Kresy.
Clocking up appearances on such notable imprints as Hivern Discs,
Freerange and Let's Play House sub-label, Room Service, Kresy is an
artist with an innate understanding of the relationship between melody
and groove - but that's unsurprising when you're talking about someone
who regularly appears at the likes of Sonar, Panorama bar, and Trouw.
Across the four tracks, we're treated to an impressively diverse yet
coherent range of sounds from an artist clearly on top of their game.
Melding dreamy pads and twinkling keys to fizzing percussion and rock-
solid bottom end, Kresy's dubbed-out sound manages to feel
simultaneously minimalist and expansive and the tracks turned in here
happily reward both home listening and club rotation.
