Christina Gavrilova (aka Forty Cats), one of the few female
Russian producers to receive consistent global radio support in
our niche, is a thrilling addition to our artist roster. Her
nuanced, visionary productions reflect her 12+ years of industry
experience as both a DJ and composer. We are delighted to share
her new single, From The North, a transcendent progressive
breaks number.
In the early going, a hypnotic arpeggio snakes its way through
chilled breaks. Swells of cinematic strings and a variety of
exotic vocal chants deepen the suspenseful soundscape. The
increasing tension of the arrangement reaches a hallucinatory
climax in the main breakdown, as the beats temporarily drop out
and the arpeggios begin to swirl. In the final movement of the
composition, we are treated to the intoxicating broken-beat
groove once again, as the various melodic and atmospheric layers
are dialed up to peak intensity.
