First, second, third generation
We are all Manutension’s children!!!
Two decades after its birth in Jamaica, Dub Music finally arrived in
France. Throughout the country, there were different points of contact
and a main one was the city of Bordeaux. In the 90s, this breakthrough
was especially around the band Improvisators Dub. Among the
instigators of the project, Manutension did not limit himself to play
the guitar during the gigs. He also persisted to spread the Sound
System culture around him, by regularly hosting dances and inviting
people such as the UK Dub scene, hitherto unknown in France.
Manutension and the Impro inspired others very quickly. It is first
the Uzinadub crew who proceeded from the end of the 90s under an
Electroroots6tm configuration with someone called Dub Machinist. Later
on, it is him who inaugurated the Control Tower label of his friend
Sir Hill, another survivor of the Uzinadub. A new generation
