The 2nd part of Isis' Family Matters series shows a different side of
her: after all the years spent working and dancing in clubs, she
wanted to prove to herself that she could write a house track. She
wrote the track on her first studio date right after moving to Berlin
with her boyfriend and now husband.
Through The Night is an accomplished proof of Isiss intentions: An
uptempo house track that is at the same time driving and
introspective, romantic and nocturnal. Clocking in at close to 9
minutes, it nicely captures both Isiss live changes at the time and
the summer mood of her new home.
Family matters, so this time around her brother-in-law Nathan Jonson
(aka Hrdvsion) is taking over remix duties, and he does so in
distinguished fashion, turning Through the Night into a wobbly,
twitchy, cut-up party monster across two different versions.
Definitely a secret weapon for any house DJ that craves for fidgety
vibes, anthemic vocals, and a bombastic drop to play at the right
time.
