After releases on Hypercolour and its digital off shoot, Tom Demac now
makes the step upto the Glass Table imprint with a far ranging three
track EP that is arguably his finest to date.Never one to fall into
the usual tried and tested traps, Demac's sound is as idiosyncratic as
the man who makes it, drawing on myriad influences and getting the
best out of his fine collection of studio of gear. When he's not
tweeting about pooing, how many cookies he's eaten in 20 minutes or
other such incidentals, that is. 'Obstructing The Light' is a lazy and
moody soup of swirling deep house. Dreamy voices drift like clouds
above a chugging kick clap combo as light finger melodies keep things
from growing all too dour. 'Four Leaves Right' is a quicker joint, but
the moods are still studiously sombre and melancholic. There's an
irresistibly swinging arc to each kick that really sweeps you up,
along with a deep, buried, bobbling Bristol bass-like b-line to keep
