Release Notes:

Recently we got a little teaser from Johnny RiouxÆs album ôCowbOi!ö in the form
of the two track EP in the Under One Flag Series that featured ôSocieties Foolsö
originally performed by The Bruisers and ôWorkingö originally performed by Cock
Sparrer. Though I am not a huge fan of country and rockabilly music I can
appreciate it from time to time, and listening tot hat EP was one of those times
and I really enjoyed listening to these two Oi! classics being transformed into
country / rockabilly songs.



As the album title may suggest this CD / LP this album contains ten Oi! classics
(included the two songs mentioned above) from the likes of Sham 69, Blitz, Iron
Cross, Cockney Rejects, 4 Skins, Angelic Upstarts and Blood For Blood being
turned into JohnnyÆs ôCowbOi!ö style and for those who thought two songs are
enough but a full record would be kind of a gimmick, I can tell you you are
wrong! This album really holds up, has good musicianship (guitarist Jeff Morris
and drummer Peter Sosa back Johnny Rioux up on this record) and itÆs just real
fun to listen to the songs you have known for years and years in the not so
typical cover versions.



You know your parents hate the music you listen to, but with ôCowbOi!ö you
finally got a record that donÆt scare your folks away when they come over to
visit (unless you have different intentions of course, haha). But also without
them around Johnny RiouxÆs solo debut is a great record to listen to! Heeyah!
