Ruut is a singer/songwriter originally from Finland. Her
music draws well deserved comparisons to Sarah McLachlan,
Carole King, and Coldplay. Her considerable piano skills
are unabashedly displayed front and center, gorgeously
anchoring Ruut's passionate, soulful voice and the lush

Ruut started writing music at age eight. Growing up, she
performed in her native language, accompanying herself on
the piano. At age 12, she learned English fluently when her
missionary parents moved to Eastern Europe. Her audience
grew, and Ruut took solace in the constant of her music as
she moved from place to place with her family. When Ruut
was 16, her family made a permanent move to the United
States, and Ruut set about building her life-long dream of
singing and performing.
