Native Australian Ron Rothfield formed Quintessence, a six
piece outfit based in London's Notting Hill, that blended
jazz, folk and meditative sounds. The group's highly sought
after debut album, originally released on the legendary Island
Records labelm produced a cornucopia of Far Eastern elements,
taxing rock improvisations and religious themes all
brilliantly executed by six adventurous soloists. "In Blissful
Company" has the addition of two rare extra A and B side
tracks taken from a rarely found single
