     A remarkably gifted vocalist who would mature into a strong and evocative
     songwriter, Linda Thompson is best known for her work with her former
     husband Richard Thompson, though she has also enjoyed a sporadic but
     satisfying career as a solo artist. Performing as Linda Peters, she was a
     minor figure in the British folk-rock community before she made auspicious
     appearances on "Rock On", an album from the ad-hoc group The Bunch, and
     Richard Thompson's first solo album, "Henry The Human Fly".
