cay taylan is a 21-year-old musician, dj and producer. born in
turkey raised in vienna, cay taylan (pronounced: tchai) was
immersed into the world of music and lyrics from an early age.
time has passed and cay's skills have sharpened. he's been turning
wheels of steel and has made his mark in the viennese club scene
for a couple of years.
today, cay taylan spends every waking moment with music. still a
dj, he is currently expanding his horizons by working with a group
of young, creative urbanites on a music/internet platform
("vitamine-source.at") and a bi-weekly radio show.
cay's combination of his diverse musical spectrum, eastern
sensuality and driving percussion, is now echoed on his debut ep
on couch records: "love:green".
the 4 tracks on cay taylan's ep "love:green" are a fusion of
vibrant and seductive percussion, elegant yet disturbing ambient
grooves layered with dub-infected sounds. ecstatic oriental
percussion, floating spheres and purely experimental tones
"gemischt" with central european, african and oriental influences
make cay's style what it is. herewith we proudly present to you
the newest member of the couch family.
